1. ELANA B SHINKLE

These are excellent points, true for older kids as well. Today I had a young man practice belly breathing in his w/c… for better phrasing but also to de-stress so he doesn’t beat himself up when he makes a mistake. We can all benefit from these strategies.

  2. Great post! In case any SLPs are looking for more info about the benefits of incorporating kids yoga, mindfulness, breathing & guided relaxation into therapy, I have quite a few resources out on my blog.

Here are links to presentation handouts: https://omazingkidsllc.com/category/powerpoint/

Info about how I incorporate it into therapy: https://omazingkidsllc.com/how-do-i-incorporate-kids-yoga-into-therapy/

    Resources: https://omazingkidsllc.com/books-dvds-cds-specifically-designed-for-kids-yoga-or-mindfulness/

There is quite a bit more…. glad to connect with other SLPs who see the power in incorporating these strategies. There is even a spot on my blog for research related to this area ?
