Tracy Wannemacher is a licensed speech language pathologist with more than 20 years experience, providing ongoing speech and language therapy and evaluations.  Tracy’s background includes working with children on the Autism Spectrum, those with childhood apraxia of speech, as well as with speech and language delays. She has received additional training and education in a number of field areas that include: ABA therapy, Autism, Apraxia, PECS, Social Thinking and Sensory Integration.

In January 2009, Tracy decided to pursue her goal of becoming an independent provider of speech and language therapy, launching her current company, Wannemacher Therapy. She currently practices in the the state of Illinois providing speech therapy to children in Early Intervention and children over the age of 3. During her career, Tracy has held a variety of positions in her field that include 10 years with a non-profit organization, Little Friends, Inc. Five of those years she was the Program Director of the Little Friends, Parent-Infant-Program. She also conducted speech evaluations as part of a comprehensive team for the Autism Diagnostic Clinic at Little Friends. Tracy is a graduate of Illinois State University, where she received her masters in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.

Tracy’s other entrepreneurial interests include the co-development of a series of children’s apps by Whole Brain Edutainment. These apps are fun and educational while incorporating Tracy’s knowledge of behavioral principles, motor planning, and speech and language development.
